Embedded Player Today, a federal judge threw out the indictment of a Jordan-born college student accused of lying to a grand jury investigating the Sept. 11 attacks. The judge said the government broke the law when it detained Osama Awadallah. She criticized the government's handling of alleged material witnesses in the investigation of the Sept. 11 attacks. The government is expected to appeal. NPR's Melissa Block reports.
