Embedded Player Under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," many gay people served in the military but remained in the closet. An underground network of LGBT people in the military, called OutServe, was formed last year to help them connect and troubleshoot problems they may face. With the Sept. 20 end of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," gays and lesbians will be free to serve openly in the military, and OutServe will be changing its mission to serve them.
