S3: Hap Tallman

We find our way into a shop that is frequented by bikers and rodeo queens, and specializes in leather work and hat shaping. Vocab terms to know this episode: roughy, bridal, britches, and cooler races down the hill. Oh, and LD leaves with a new pair of shoes.

S3: Double Decker Espresso & Tower Grill

What do an airport restaurant and a two-story mobile coffee shop have in common? Not much, if you don't count the quality food and original atmosphere. But we do count that kind of stuff around here, so trust us when we say these places are worth a visit.

S3: Crone's Cupboard

Filled to the brim with dragons, goddesses, cauldrons, and incense, Crone's Cupboard is a place for explorers and believers alike. And spoiler alert: a crone is not a small elf that lives in a cupboard.

S3: Roots Zero Waste Market

If built-in bulk sections get you excited or clamshell plastics give you headaches, we think you're going to like this new kind of grocery store in town.

S3: Boise Army Navy

People! Listeners! Friends! We're back at it for another season and can't wait to share our adventures with all of you. Let's kick off Season 3 with a quriky warehouse on Chinden Blvd. in Boise, shall we? Bring on the ammo cans, cammo pants, and MREs! Be sure to subscribe to the podcast & visit our website !

Update: Fire At India Fashion & Grocery

If you're a long-time listener of the You Know The Place podcast, you may remember our season one episode at India Fashion & Grocery. It remains one of our favorite explorations and, even after two seasons, our most-downloaded episode. A few days ago, an accidental electrical fire swept through the store and now the business is (in the words of the fire department) a total loss. We're devastated for Hardeep and Amar, the owner-operators of the business, and their boys. They are wonderfully

S2: World Center For Birds Of Prey

Podcast season finales are for the birds, apparently. We didn't plan it that way but for t he second time in a row we are rounding out the season with an avian theme. And if the World Center for Birds of Prey seems like a bucket-list thing to do, we agree. So does our special guest host (!!!!). Be sure to subscribe to the podcast & visit their website !

S2: Nerfed

Maybe the draw to a place like this is more obvious than we'd originally thought—I mean come on, it's Nerf guns. But we went. And we played. With seven-year-old boys. We have no regrets. Be sure to subscribe to the podcast & visit their website !

S2: Kirkham Hot Springs & Diamond Lil's

We packed a cooler and the spouses and we finally did it—we got outta town! After talking about it forever, we spent a Saturday hot springin' in Lowman and beer sippin' in Idaho City. Join us for our first YKTP road trip, won't ya? Be sure to subscribe to the podcast & visit their website !

S2: Little Dutch Garden

What's our excuse for not yet exploring a neighborhood pub? Truth is, we don't have one. And we're sorry. To make up for it, we asked YOU where we should go and as usual, you didn't disappoint. Thanks to everyone who gave us suggestions—we ended up going to the one that got the most recommendations: LDG. Be sure to subscribe to the podcast & visit their website !
