Building community at the MKE Urban Stables in Bayview

Bobby and Nate took a tour of the MKE Urban Stables permanent home to the Milwaukee Police Department's Mounted Patrol Unit, several equine-assisted therapy programs for students and veterans which is coordinated through the Milwaukee VA Medical Center and Milwaukee Public Schools. The facility also serves as a place for community-focused programming. They also spoke with Kent Lovern, Chief Deputy District Attorney and Board President for the MKE Urban Stables project about the facility and programs ahead. https://www.mkeurbanstables.org/

In Bobby's article, according to a city landmark designation report, "The original building was a mansard-roofed, four-story, speculative, retail and loft-manufacturing structure with seven storefronts and three floors of offices and manufacturing space above."
