Join award winning writer Jacqueline Woodson on All Things Considered Wednesday, May 30, as she looks at the experiences of today's teenagers who are exploring alternative sexualities, and compares them with her own coming-out 15 years ago.

Woodson visited the Youth Pride celebration in Washington, D.C., and asked the young participants how they meet other gay teenagers and how they understand their own identities.

Jacqueline Woodson writes books for children and young adults. This year, she won the Coretta Scott King Award for her novel Miracle's Boys. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
