CALLmeKAT: Finding An Intimate Space At SXSW

I've always been attracted to the mix of voice and electronics, so when I first heard the music of CALLmeKAT, my intrigue was instant. CALLmeKAT is the recording moniker of Katrine Ottosen, a singer and musician from Copenhagen, Denmark with a lovely, delicate voice.

Austin is noisy this time of year and Ottosen's subtle and beautiful voice could easily be buried by the distorted din of bands playing in venues along the streets. So once I found out she was coming to Austin for SXSW, we lined up a video shoot in an intimate, quiet room at the Driskell Hotel, an historic hotel in downtown Austin.

That video will be posted as soon as I find time to edit it. For now though, here's an audio preview of one of the songs she performed called "Bug In A Web."
