If you have a few minutes -- make that more than a few minutes -- and a computer with a camera and a decent graphics card, then do this: Go to the Flying Lotus website and download an application he's calling the 'Cosmogramma Fieldlines' augmented reality app.
Once you've got it installed, put on your headphones and boot it up. The camera you should have hooked up to your computer takes your image and uses it to alter the "strings" on the app. As you move, the virtual strings tremble.
Flying Lotus is otherwise known as multi-genre producer and musician Steven Ellison, an artist everyone at NPR Music loves. His record, Cosmogramma comes out May 4th, but you'll be able to hear the whole album a day early, starting Monday, May 3, as part of our First Listen series.
