I used to think of NPR as a sort of secret club. Find anyone anywhere in the country listening to NPR and it's like a secret handshake.  You had a friend, or at least a conversation.

When I was the director of All Things Considered, fans sent me dozens of variations on the main theme for the daily news show.  Today, I have a very different variation on the theme.  These Public Radio fans went all-out to show their love.
