I'll be online at reddit.com/r/music on Wednesday, February 11, 1 to 2 p.m. EST, answering your questions on this post. I'm a little scared because you can actually ask me anything. It will be kind of like a Tiny Desk Concert (intimate, awkward) but I'm sure we'll have fun.

In case you need a little background information about me:

  • Musicians play at my desk.

  • I go out to watch live concerts almost every night. I saw 662 sets last year.

  • I created a music show called All Songs Considered

  • I was in the first band to play the 9:30 Club, a concert space in Washington, D.C.

  • I am making an album this month.

  • I play in a band called Danger Painters.

  • I directed NPR's All Things Considered for 18 years.

  • (I picked out those little bits of music between news stories on All Things Considered.)

  • I just watched thousands of YouTube videos to help decide on a winner for the Tiny Desk Concert Contest (we announce the winner on Feb. 12).

  • I like music.
