Flipboard: Remaking The Magazine : All Tech Considered Every geek has gone on and on about a new iPad app called Flipboard. It takes your social media content and puts it in magazine format. But, Phil Johnson argues, some things are better left without the glossy treatment.

Editor's Note: This is Phil Johnson's first — of what we hope will be many — contributions to All Tech. So, a little bit about him:

Phil is currently NPR/Public Interactive's SoundExchange Reporting Project Manager and, in his spare time, he enjoys making fun of the tech world by drawing a weekly cartoon for ITWorld.com, called IT Underworld.

In his previous life, he was a web/software developer and wrote monologue jokes for a number of late night talk shows, including the Late Show with David Letterman, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

He lives near Boston with his wife, two daughters and (sadly) one bathroom.
