Justin Sullivan/Getty ImagesMicrosoft Corp. Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer kicked off the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Thursday night with a keynote address talking up the latest Xbox improvements.
Speaking to about 3,000 journalists and trade show attendees, Ballmer made a compelling case that Kinect for Xbox 360 makes it entirely possible to live a full and rewarding life without ever leaving your couch.
And for those who insist upon having a life away from a large screen, he touted the Windows Phone 7, which the company says will allow Xbox owners to "take their achievements, Gamerscore and avatar on the go."
