Even if you don't buy much candy all year, chances are you're buying it now to prepare for the Trick-Or-Treaters when they come knocking on Sunday night.

So take a break from carving pumpkins in the shape of Star Wars characters and focus a little extra care on those treats -- at least two kinds of candy have been recalled in the last few days.

Nestle USA recalled bags of Raisinets in the 10 oz. fun-sized bag with a production code of 0201574 and UPC number 2800010255 sold at Target and Shop Rite all over the country because they may contain peanuts that could cause bad allergic reactions in some kids.

And the manufacturer of MegaPops has asked store owners to take all packages of its lollipops off shelves after it found metal bits in some of them.

MegaPops maker Colombina announced a recall of both 14 and 28 oz size bags of watermelon, cherry, orange and grape flavored pops, and the UPC Code numbers: 0 14272 10873 9 or 0 14272 10862 3. Look for the lot numbers: 1240695, 1209708, or 1209796.

"We are always guided by customer safety and satisfaction," said Carlos Gil, Colombina USA Vice President. "Using an abundance of caution, we are working with all our valued retailers to quickly remove the product from the shelves. We’ve also set up a special 24 hour hotline to answer any questions consumers may have," he said in a statement. (1-888-317-3686)

So how do you know when candy or other food products are getting yanked? has a rolling list.

You could always offer non-candy treats, like tiny boxes of cereal or small rubber balls and spiders, but then you might be risking the toilet paper treatment.
