It's ScuttleButton Time!

Feb. 17 ScuttleButton

I suggest that if this week's ScuttleButton can be solved, then fixing the nation's budget problems will be a walk in the park. Yes, the current puzzle is, in my opinion, a challenge. And it's about time.

Just don't forget how to play. Each week, I put forward a vertical display of buttons in this space. Your job is to simply take one word (or concept) per button, add 'em up, and, hopefully, you will arrive at a famous name or a familiar expression. (And seriously, by familiar, I mean it's something that more than one person on Earth would recognize.)

ScuttleButton usually appears in this space on Fridays. But I will be visiting member station WFIU in Bloomington, Ind., tomorrow, and so the puzzle goes up a day early. One extra day to solve this sucker.

A correct answer chosen at random gets his or her name in this column. Personally, I can't imagine a greater honor.

You can't use the comments box at the bottom of the page for your answer. Send submission (plus your name and city/state — you won't win without that) to

Good luck, and have a great weekend!

P.S. I usually reveal the answer — and announce the winner — in this space on Tuesdays. So you should get your answer in by then.
