Jack Mitchell & Anandita Bhalerao

The NPR One Team is thrilled to introduce 2 new Assistant Editors to our team who will be joining us over the next two weeks.

Jack Mitchell is coming to NPR One from Member station WBUR where he worked on Project Citrus, a Google-funded initiative to explore the future of on-demand audio on emerging platforms. He's also covered daily and breaking news on WBUR's fast-paced newsdesk and brings great editorial and production skills. He'll be learning all about working with stations to on-board them and optimize their presence for NPR One. As we head to the unified app this fall and fulfill the vision of a network app in the years to come, working with and coordinating with stations will become even more important. Jack will start with us on 8/8.

Anandita Bhalerao joins us fresh out of a Master's Program at Northwestern's Medill School in Media Innovation and Content Strategy, a program that is in many ways the perfect preparation for a role on the NPR One team where we work at the nexus of technology innovation and content. Aside from curating content to NPR One, she'll be working to represent editorial considerations and content priorities in our product development process. She's also just completed an internship at Member station KPCC where she helped develop an upcoming podcast and newsletter about Los Angeles news and culture. She will start with us on 8/15.

Please join me in welcoming them both to NPR.
