Hey there,

Please join me in welcoming our new Visuals Community Manager, Abi Inman. Abi will be working with both NPR journalists and our followers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube to create meaningful experiences on those platforms. Abi will also work to insure that those communities remain respectful and safe spaces for everyone. Abi will work closely with Caroline Drees and Stacey Foxwell and report to Deputy Director for Visuals, Nicole Werbeck.

Abi started her career in book publishing working on social media and marketing at Penguin Random House. She then spent several years at Atlas Obscura building and leading their audience development team and working on interesting projects like a road trip across Eastern Europe photographing brutalist Yugoslavian monuments. Most recently she spent almost four years consulting, working with companies like the Oliver Sacks Foundation and Rank the Vote on video production and audience development.

Abi's animation "Sidewalk Tidepools" imagines the life that might be hidden all around us, while "Evolution" marvels at the fact that life exists at all. More animation work, along with illustration, installation, and sculpture is on Abi's Art page.  Abi also writes and hosts international murder mystery parties that explore her fascination with archival research while creating evocative spaces and events that transport people back in time. You can read more about those on her Murder Mysteries page.

Abi will be based in NY.
