Fresh Hope For Domino Lovers: Lonny Magazine
Barrie and I commiserate with perhaps alarming frequency about our lost love, Domino magazine. She was way ahead of me in terms of domestic design and Domino worship, and just when I bought a home and really dug into Domino, it folded.
Since then, various design blogs I enjoy have recommended some halfhearted replacements, including some Canadian and Australian publications, but international subscriptions just seem too expensive to me. I mean, the magazines just make me want to spend money, anyway, right?
But now, a ray of light: Lonny Magazine. It's online-only, but looks like a print publication, and while I still crave the physical artifact, I could be swayed by their mission:
By embracing an online platform we provide inspiration at the click of a finger, directly connecting our readers to their favorite products and resources. Our freedom from page limits means that we can share more content in each issue, delivering an intimate look into the way people really live.
So if you're into shelter magazines, take a look. I plan to dig in this weekend.
