"Kanye-Isms" For Your Listening Pleasure : Blog Of The Nation Tweets may be a dime a dozen, but many people seem to be hanging on every last one of Kanye West's sporadic 140 character blurbs. Josh Groban is the latest fan -- and he stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to sing his favorites.

"Kanye-Isms" For Your Listening Pleasure

First, The New Yorker depicts them in cartoons...and now a musician is singing them. It seems like almost everyone is head over heels for Kanye West's Tweets. He was rather late to the tweeting game, compared to some of his other outspoken rapping contemporaries (see Ice-T and ?uestlove of The Roots). But ever since Kanye started instantly writing what was on his mind last summer, phrases like "Fur pillows are actually hard to sleep on" and "Question... can you devil worship on the new iphone??? LOL!!!" have been passed around like inside jokes.

Earlier this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Josh Groban made an appearance to promote an "album" of sorts. Well, I'm pretty sure this was more of a comedy bit than anything. But you can clearly hear that Groban's lyrics are heavily influenced by Kanye's sporadic 140 character blurbs.

Per our conversation yesterday with Evgeny Morozow, author of The Net Delusion: The Dark Side Of Internet Freedom, perhaps social media will have more of an influence on our lives in the future.
