The body of the nephew of a leading Iranian opposition politician may be missing. Ali Habibi Mousavi Khamene, a relative of defeated Iranian presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi, was apparently killed in political clashes yesterday. A strong warning - news out of Iran can't be verified because of the heavy restraints the Iranian government has placed on media. But opposition websites, liveblogs, and Twitter feeds are talking about Khamene's death, on the profoundly significant Shia holiday of Ashura. The official Iranian news outlet, IRNA, has nothing on the protests that have apparently convulsed the country; its lead story is that President Ahmadinejad is scheduled to visit Tajikistan next week.
