Former House speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., is rarely dull when he's behind a microphone, and he was true to form last night at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans.

As NPR's Don Gonyea reported on Morning Edition, Gingrich said during his hour-long address that President Barack Obama has created "the most radical administration in U.S. history" and referred to it as a "secular, Socialist regime" (a phrase that is also in the title of Gingrich's next book):
