CNN's Fishy, Decade-Old Octopus-Shark Video : The Two-Way An eight second Internet search reveled that a video CNN recently showed during a news segment of a shark versus octopus confrontation has been posted on YouTube for almost four years:

CNN's Fishy, Decade-Old Octopus-Shark Video

CNN's Rick Sanchez runs clips and pictures in a segment called Las Fotos Del Dia (I don't know why they use a Spanish title, beyond obviously signifying Rick's Heritage and making a play at the Latino audience, but that's besides the point.)

Here was Friday's, which was still popular today:

I was struck by, well by the Octopus eating a Shark! But also the question of if octopusses have beaks (they do) and where the aquarium was.

Sanchez spun it like a yarn but didn't include any identifiable details except to say it was an aquarium in Seattle. So an eight second Internet search reveled that the video has been posted on YouTube for almost four years:

Three more minutes of searching and I find that the video was shot a decade ago and was basically staged.

Cool video. Not News.
