Update: Rep. Giffords Arrives In Houston

Office of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle GiffordsKOLD-TV is webcasting its coverage of the scene in Tucson, where an ambulance is taking Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) to the local Air Force base, from where she'll be flown to Houston for treatment there.
There's a considerable crowd at University Medical Center in Tucson and along the roads.
Giffords was critically injured in a Jan. 8 shooting rampage at an event she was holding at a Tucson strip mall. Six people were killed. Thirteen others, including Giffords, were injured.
Update at 7:20 p.m. ET: Doctors report that the 930-plus-mile trip to Texas Medical Center went flawlessly. Giffords' staff also released a photo from the flight aboard a private jet (above).
