Though she reportedly claims she and her brothers weren't trying to hurt anyone, the sister in the so-called Dougherty Gang has told investigators that "I deserved to get shot," The Pueblo Chieftain and other news outlets in Colorado are reporting.

"I pointed a gun at a cop," 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty told investigators, the Chieftain writes. "I deserved to get shot." She was hit in the leg Wednesday by a round fired by Walsenburg, Colo., Police Chief James Chamberlain.

Word about what Dougherty has told authorities comes from a court affidavit, the Chieftain adds. She and her brothers Dylan (26) and Ryan (21) have been charged with attempted murder of a peace officer and first degree assault of a peace officer. Their bonds have been set at $1.25 million each.

As we reported Wednesday, the Doughertys' alleged crime spree began in their home state of Florida:

"The trio is accused of shooting at a police officer in central Florida who tried to pull over their 2006 white Subaru Impreza for speeding, on Aug. 2. Instead, the car led him on a high-speed chase. After leading the officer's car around a parking lot corner, shots were fired at the police vehicle, flattening one tire."

They're also accused of robbing a bank in Georgia.

Spotted in southern Colorado on Wednesday, the Doughertys led police on a car chase that ended when their vehicle crashed. The Denver Post writes that, according to court documents, "they emerged from their wrecked Subaru ... pointing weapons at pursuing deputies and troopers. ... Lee Grace Dougherty ran through a field after the crash, at one point pulling a handgun on ... Chamberlain before he shot her in the leg."
