Sandwich Monday: The Oreo Triple Double : Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me! For this week's Sandwich Monday, we preview the newest Oreo spinoff, the Triple Double.

Sandwich Monday: The Oreo Triple Double

For more than 35 years, the Oreo Double Stuf Cookie has been the king of Oreo spinoffs, known for its extra cream filling and for saving extra "F's" for the words that truly need them. This summer Oreo is debuting the "Triple Double," which is cookie-vanilla cream-cookie-chocolate cream-cookie. We couldn't wait, so we made our own, using raw materials from Oreo and Trader Joe.

Ian: It's called the "Triple Double"? That's a nice tribute to what LeBron didn't score last night.

Amy: I've had too many. I feel triple gross and double pukey.

Robert: My deep dark secret is that I don't really like Oreos.

Mike: I thought your deep dark secret was that you aren't allowed within 200 yards of an alpaca farm.

Ian: If Oreo was really doing what we wanted, they'd just eliminate the cookie altogether. Also the cream would just drive right up to my mouth instead of me having to lift my arm.

Mike: Is there any way we could make these into a bun and put a hamburger on them?

Ian: Mixing Oreos and Trader Joe's feels wrong, like James Carville and Mary Matalin. Except I can stand listening to these cookies.

Robert: I feel like Trader Joe and Sergeant Nabisco are at war in my stomach.

Robert: So many discarded cookies. So wasteful.

Ian: As industrial byproducts go, cookies aren't bad. Though my Grandpappy does have a bad case of Cookie Lung.

[The verdict: astonishingly, after all we've eaten at Sandwich Monday, nothing has made as many of us feel as sick as this one did (although pretty much everyone ate more than one, so maybe that has something to do with it). A tip: if you want to keep from feeling sick, always try and cut your refined sugars with some grease, either in the form of bacon or just plain grease.]
