On this fun edition of World Cafe's Latin Roots, Josh Norek of the radio program The Latin Alternative plays us some of his favorite Spanish-language covers. As Norek notes, back in the '50s and '60s, Latin rock bands in South America were strictly cover bands. But that has changed a lot; now, artists known for originals pick and choose English-language songs they want to cover.

On this episode, Norek plays a version of a Radiohead song and more. You can also hear a selection of Norek's favorites on Spotify.
