Lots of new things in Brandi Carlile's life. She just released her new album, The Firewatcher's Daughter. It's on a new label for her, ATO Records. She's recently married, and she and her wife have a new daughter. There are also new kids in the families of her twin bandmates, Tim and Phil Hanseroth, and many of them were skittering around backstage during our session at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.

Brandi is 10 years and five albums into a career that includes the very successful 2007 album The Story. It's a good time in her life — and we'll check in with her and hear an exciting live set. Hear the full session at the audio link above, or find individual songs (including video of "The Eye") below.
