Rob Grote, Mark Larson, Connor Jacobus and Braden Lawrence formed The Districts in 2009, while they were still in high school; they released their debut album in 2012 and moved from Lititz, Penn., to Philly shortly thereafter.

In February, the group released A Flourish And A Spoil, which features new guitarist Pat Cassidy, who took Larson's place after Larson left for college. In this installment of Sense Of Place: Philadelphia, the band performs a set onstage at World Cafe Live.
