Thanksgiving 2006 Food and family are the focus for most Americans on Thanksgiving Day. It is estimated that more than 45 million turkeys are cooked and eaten in the U.S. during Thanksgiving meals. But that's just a start. The holiday is also filled with stuffing, cranberry relish, pies and, of course, travel.
