FDA authorizes first COVID booster for children ages 5 to 11

May 17, 2022 • The Food and Drug Administration expanded authorization of Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID vaccine to enable kids ages 5 to 11 who were vaccinated at least five months ago to get a third shot.

CDC recommends Pfizer's COVID vaccine for children ages 5 through 11

November 2, 2021 • Kids ages 5 to 11 will soon be able to get Pfizer's low-dose COVID vaccine. CDC director Rochelle Walensky agreed with a unanimous decision of a team of advisers that the benefits outweigh the risks.
