August 4, 2011 • News of a city's ban on dogs hit media outlets in the U.S. and England Wednesday. Now it seems that the outrage of animal lovers in Jiangmen and elsewhere in China prompted government officials to reconsider the ban, which would have led to the killing of thousands of dogs.
