Hurricane Nicholas Makes Landfall In Texas. Residents Are Bracing For Possible Floods

September 13, 2021 • Nicholas strengthened into a hurricane before making landfall early Tuesday. The storm will trigger "considerable flash and urban flooding," the National Hurricane Center says.

Historic Hurricane Dorian Bears Down On Northern Bahamas As A Category 5 Storm

September 1, 2019 • With sustained winds of 185 mph, Dorian is hitting the Bahamas as "the strongest hurricane in modern records" to hit the archipelago, according to the National Hurricane Center.
