Mr. Garfield Goes To Hollywood Roving correspondent Bob Garfield marks Oscar night by telling about his cruscade to save Hollywood's soul. It begins when Garfield finds nothing good to rent at his local video store near Washington, D.C. Frustrated, he decides HE can come up with decent movie himself. He has an idea for a serious film set in the former Yugoslavia, involving murder, love and politics. He embarks on a spastic campaign to get the attention of Tinseltown by phone, but learns he has to go out there to pitch his idea. But once in Hollywood, he is rejected repeatedly. He soon learns he will have to compromise to get his idea on film. So he comes up with an action-packed comedy idea, a very cookie cutter idea, and tries selling that. We learn how he is faced with selling HIS soul in order to have a chance of saving Hollywood's soul. (21:15) ((ST
