Canadian Territory Carolyn Jack reports from Toronto that Canada has created a new Territory. It's the first in modern-day North America to be run by native peoples. The territory of Nunavut (NOO-nuh-voot) was christened today. It covers an area the size of western Europe, carved out of Canada's massive Northwest Territories. The population of twenty-five thousand is mostly Inuit (IN-oo-it).
