Bryce Harper is a 16-year-old baseball player who has hit a home run measuring 570 feet, thrown a fastball clocked at 96 mph and keeps a GPA of 3.5.

He was the subject of the recent Sports Illustrated cover story, Baseball's Chosen One.

Ron Kantowski, sports columnist for the Las Vegas Sun, calls Harper "a freak of nature."

"As good as he is on the field," Kantowski says, "he is every bit as impressive off it.

"He's one of those kids that makes you want to pull for him to see him succeed because he's such a nice kid."
