China - Ya'nan Mary Kay Magistad reports from the Chinese town of Yan'an, the old revolutionary base of the late Chinese leader Mao Zedong. This is where Mao and his followers lived in caves and plotted their revolution. Today it is something of a tourist haven, where you visit the caves, receive a guided tour and buy Mao memorabilia (cigarette lighters, pins, etc.). But despite the fact that Yan'an is the cradle of Chinese communism, many residents feel the town has been left behind as the rest of China seeks to modernize and embrace the free-market.
