N.W. Lumber This past week, a judge in Seattle blocked the U.S. Forest Service from selling timber on federal lands in Washington and Northern California. Twenty-six timber sales were blocked, enough wood to build over 7,000 homes. The sales are being halted, at least temporarily, to protect species of moss, slugs and salamanders.
