Vacations Don is joined by Cindy Aron, author of Working at Play: A History of Vacations in the United States (pub: Oxford University Press). In researching her book, Aron discovered that Americans have long had a love and hate with vacationing. Part of it is attributed to our Puritan ancestors but, according to Aron, most of that conflict comes as a result of America's definition of what it meant to be middle class.
