Trappers Cabin is the music of Joel Nettesheim, an art-folk singer-songwriter who lives and works in the north Georgia mountains. He says his latest CD, For My Friends, is "a celebration and appreciation of all the animals which populate and have populated the land."

The music of Trappers Cabin is a beautiful and unpredictable mix of classic country, folk, and experimental rock. Imagine the Beatles crossed with Neil Young.

Nettesheim says he's inspired by "The woods - the bear - the trees - the smells - the stars - the stuff that matters."

For My Friends is loosely based George Orwell's novel Animal Farm. It features four chapters ("The Beginning," "The Revolution," "The War," and "The End") chronicling the rise of the animals in the eyes of humans.

Trappers Cabin is already in the studio working on his next release. Trappers Mind, due out later this year, will be his ninth album.
