Weegee As a part of NPR's American Talkers series, we broadcast an interview from 1945 with legendary photograper Arthur Fellig, better-known as Weegee . Weegee's night-time pictures of fires, suicides, coffee shops and kids sleeping on fire escapes chronicled the underside of New York City in the 1930s, 40s and 50s. This interview ran shortly after the publication of his first book of photographs, Naked City.
