Supreme Court NPR's Nina Totenberg reports on today's two Supreme Court decisions on abortion. The court ruled 5-4 against a Nebraska law that would have banned what opponents call "partial birth abortion." The court said the law unduly restricted women's constitutional rights. Also today, the court, by a six-three margin, upheld a Colorado law keeping anti-abortion protesters at least eight feet away from health-clinic visitors. The majority opinion said free speech rights don't always protect offensive speech that an unwilling audience cannot avoid.
