Fla. Inmates Make, Sell Hot Sauce
LINDA WERTHEIMER, host:
Good morning. I'm Linda Wertheimer.
Inmates at a Tampa jail are adding some zing to prison food these days and making some money on the side. Jailhouse Fire Hot Sauce, made from peppers grown in the jail, sells for seven bucks a bottle. The inmates' hot product nets a couple of thousand dollars a year, and it comes in a variety of flavors. The hottest version is called No Escape.
It's MORNING EDITION.
