Babe's Piano A team of divers braved the depths of Willis Pond in Sudbury, Mass. yesterday to try to raise an item of deep historical significance. Legend has it that Boston Red Sox pitcher Babe Ruth angrily threw his upright piano into the pond back in 1918, shortly before being traded to the New York Yankees -- a move which started a World Series drought for Beantown's favorite ball club.
