'Dirty' Bomb Suspect Arrest NPR's Barbara Bradley reports that Attorney General John Ashcroft has announced the arrest of a suspected terrorist. Ashcroft says Abdullah al Muhajir, a U.S. citizen formerly known as Jose Padilla, has connections to al Qaeda, and was arrested last month. He is being held as an enemy combatant. Muhajir allegedly was plotting to detonate a "dirty" bomb, containing radioactive material.
