Lissie Maurus, a singer-songwriter born and raised in Illinois, performs a fresh, soulful style of Americana. Hailing from a small town on the Mississippi River, Maurus has worked her way from playing in coffee shops to appearing on national and international stages; she's currently on an American tour promoting her debut EP, Why You Runnin'.
"Little Lovin' "
Produced by friend and Band of Horses bassist Bill Reynolds, the album centers on Lissie's emotional strife and maturation, in a style that balances sass and sentimentality. At times upbeat and rollicking, and at others forlorn and crooning, Lissie has filled her new EP, Why You Runnin', with a wide range of styles and subject matter.
