Here's one thing everyone has in common: We all eat food. And for people fortunate enough to be able to decide what to eat, the ability to choose can breed anxiety.
NPR asked people about rules they have about food. People said what they eat, when they eat, and how they eat. Some are meticulous eaters, eating one thing on their plate at a time until it’s gone, and some don’t ingest certain foods at all.
“When it comes to sweets and cookies: I put them in my mouth, I taste it, and then I spit it out," Pete Ciaramella says.
