Elizaveta: 'Breakfast With Chopin' Even though she is a classically trained pianist and opera vocalist, songwriting has always been Elizaveta's primary passion. The New York born, Moscow-raised musician's extensive knowledge and love of classical music informs her latest EP, Breakfast With Chopin. She just might be classical music's answer to Norah Jones.

Even though she is a classically trained pianist and opera vocalist, songwriting has always been Elizaveta's primary passion. The New York born, Moscow-raised musician's extensive knowledge and love of classical music informs her latest EP, Breakfast With Chopin. She just might be classical music's answer to Norah Jones.

"'Breakfast with Chopin' is a labor of love and a dedication to the long-departed classical composers who still inspire us all," says the young artist. Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven's transcendent melodies and counterpoint are the foundation for Elizaveta's arrangements. Vocally, her airy soprano resembles Vanessa Carlton or Alison Krauss.

Elizaveta intends to take 'Breakfast with Chopin' to elementary and middle schools and introduce a younger generation to classical music.
