Teen Likely To Win Bet Over Tennis Shoes
LYNN NEARY, host:
Good morning. I'm Lynn Neary.
In the stinky feet department, it doesn't get much worse than this. Seventeen-year-old Ben Hedblom has been wearing the same sneakers to school for four years. He wraps them in plastic when it rains, and he's determined to make it to graduation next month in Tampa to win a bet he says he made with a teacher. The teacher may have to pay up by shaving his head and eyebrows, but he says he doesn't remember making that bet.
It's MORNING EDITION.
