LINDA WERTHEIMER, host:

Good morning. I'm Linda Wertheimer.

Leftovers from a large-scale nose job are going on sale. The tip of the Statue of Liberty's nose comes up for auction late next month. I should say a tip. The two-foot wide copper casting was one of four possible replacements created for Lady Liberty in the '80s. The auction house says it's quite good looking. Maybe a water feature for the garden, or maybe not.

It's MORNING EDITION.
