LINDA WERTHEIMER, host:

Good morning. I'm Linda Wertheimer.

If you're looking to add an extra touch of grace to breakfast, a Vermont man is offering the Jesus toaster. The toaster went on sale last week starting at $39.95. It takes your daily bread and burns the image of Christ on it, inspired by the famous grilled cheese sandwich with the image of the Virgin Mary. The inventor hopes to expand by introducing Virgin Mary and Star of David toasters.

It's MORNING EDITION.
