Medical Marijuana Growers Join Teamsters Union

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.
You may think the union movement is in decline, but don't tell the teamsters. The union of truck drivers and other workers extended its reach. The teamsters organized 40 California marijuana workers. They work as gardeners, trimmers and cloners. It is not clear how labor laws will apply to this situation, since medical marijuana is legal in California but is still a federal crime. Still, the workers got a new contract and a raise.
