Apple's iPhone Sales Hit 1 Million
Apple, Inc. sells its millionth iPhone, less than three months after its debut. Last week, Apple cut the price of the iPhone by $200, sparking fears from investors about sales. Apple CEO Steve Jobs notes that it took almost two years to sell 1 million iPods.

Apple may be hoping that news calms down investors. The millionth iPhone was sold less than three months after the phone's debut. Last week, Apple cut the price of its handset by $200, and that sparked fears that the iPhone was not selling well. But CEO Steve Jobs pointed out yesterday that it took almost two years to sell a million iPods.
Now Apple has set its sights on a new sales goal - 10 million iPhones by the end of this year. That would give it a one percent share of the mobile phone market.
